FREMONT, CA: ConsumerMedical, a Norwell, MA-based clinical advocacy and decision-support company, declared the acquisition of InfiniteMD (IMD), a virtual Expert Medical Opinion (EMO) firm. The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by Babak Movassaghi, PhD, MBA, CEO and Co-Founder, InfiniteMD offers hospital delivery networks a platform that facilitates 360-degree multidisciplinary collaboration among physicians as a case progresses from intake and summarization to review and rendering of a final virtual opinion via written report or video. Participants and their families have the option to interact with physicians over team-based multidisciplinary video, live video, and asynchronous video—the most modalities available for these services in the industry. The solution offers access to 2,400 of the top physicians in the US from institutions like Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals and other clinical Centers of Excellence ranking within the top 20 Hospitals, as per US News and World Report.
