FREMONT, CA: Viracor Eurofins has appointed Karina Eterovic, Ph.D., as the Director of Research & Development for Oncology Diagnostics. Dr. Eterovic leads the development and growth of oncology clinical diagnostic solutions, benefiting Viracor Eurofins' healthcare clients and patients. Dr. Eterovic has served as an Associate Professor and Director of the Cancer Genomics Laboratory from MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was the driving force in the deployment of precision medicine at the prestigious institute, establishing a genomics laboratory for their next-generation sequencing research projects. Dr. Eterovic has enabled the identification and discovery of new biomarkers for customized cancer care.
Dr. Eterovic has authored several publications in high impact oncology journals and holds both her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She also holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Sao Paulo, Medical School, in Brazil, and postdoctoral training in Neuro-Oncology at MD Anderson.
